A new style of video board, seen here at the 2025 FIE Senior World Championships, will be used at USA Fencing tournaments beginning with the October NAC.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Reaching the finals of your event at a USA Fencing national tournament already feels pretty great. But now, thanks to Absolute Fencing, that experience is about to look even better.

USA Fencing is introducing an upgraded LED board beneath the raised finals strip — a sleek, under‑piste display that brings dynamic event branding and graphics to the sport’s most high‑profile moments. The goal is a cleaner, more modern look that enhances in‑venue energy for athletes, families and fans.

Speaking of fencing fans, you may recognize the vibe from this summer’s FIE Senior World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, where Team USA captured multiple medals — including Lee Kiefer’s historic women’s foil title, women’s team foil gold and men’s team foil silver.

The under-the-strip LED boards coming to USA Fencing tournaments — starting with the October NAC — are the same ones used in Tbilisi.

“This upgrade is about honoring the moment,” says Phil Andrews, USA Fencing CEO. “With Absolute’s continued support, the new under‑strip LED board gives our finalists a stage worthy of their achievement.”

While today’s news focuses on the new tech, our long‑term partnership with Absolute Fencing — renewed in 2023 to run through the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games — remains the backbone of our national‑event operations. Absolute supplies the metal strips, scoring machines and other components you see on every competition day, ensuring reliable, regulation‑ready fields of play from the first pool round, to the gold‑medal bout.

Beyond the field of play, Absolute continues to give back through the USA Fencing–Absolute Fencing Gear Refurbishment Program, which channels gently used equipment from donors to clubs in under‑resourced communities.
