With 40,000+ members, the USA Fencing family includes athletes, coaches, referees, club owners, family members and volunteers from all backgrounds – each united by our love of the sport.
Whether you currently fence yourself or are giving back to the sport in any capacity, we each have ties to a club that has become sport’s foundation in communities around the nation.
USA Fencing is currently home to more than 700 clubs. From small non-profits run out of recreation centers to standalone facilities to high school and collegiate programs, each of these clubs represents a place where fencers of all ages got their start in the sport.
We are all facing uncertain times due to the pandemic of COVID-19. During the past week, schools and businesses around the world have all closed as we all look to do everything we can to stop the outbreak of this disease.
We know that these challenging times also affect each of our clubs. Whether run by a staff of one or 12, these clubs are small businesses who count on dues and fees to keep the doors open and provide income for coaches and club managers.
As we look ahead to the time when practices, lessons and competitions resume, we ask that you please reach out to a USA Fencing Club to see if there is anything you can do to help, whether through financial support, donations of equipment or volunteering your time.
The future of fencing in America depends on the continued growth and sustainability of our clubs. Please reach out to your club or contact B.Bodor@usafencing.org for information on how to support a club in the coming weeks.
