USA Fencing Regional Coaching and Athlete Seminars with Master Michael Marx

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - USA Fencing regional seminars are the first step toward athlete development and USA Fencing’s newly developed coaching accreditation program. 
 
Four regional seminars are being held prior to the official opening of the U.S. Fencing Coaches Institute later this summer in Melbourne Florida at the Florida Institute of Technology.
 
Dates and locations are as follows:
 
Florida Institute of Technology – Melbourne Fla., April 27-29
Northwest Fencing Center – Portland, Ore.,  May 11-13
Boston Fencing Club – Boston, Mass., May 18-20
Northwestern University – Evanston, Ill. June 1-3

These two-days seminars are designed to bring athletes and coaches together.   All materials presented will reflect the newly developed USA Fencing coaching program.  
 
Michael Marx, a five-time Olympian in both foil and epee is USA Fencing’s coaching education coordinator and is the director of operations at the Boston Fencing Club.  “Our goal is to develop the U.S. school of fencing and build world-class athletes and coaches.”
 
Former U.S. Olympic Coach Buckie Leach (New York City, N.Y.) said: “Michael Marx is the ideal person to head up this program.  He has a unique and progressive approach that combined with his ability as an educator will help USA Fencing coaches reach their true potential.”
