Kelley and Courtney Hurley Advance to Table of 64 at Havana Epee Grand Prix

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Sisters Kelley and Courtney Hurley, both of San Antonio, Texas, were the only U.S. Team members to qualify for the table of 64 at the Havana Grand Prix in Cuba on Sunday.

Competing in the second Olympic qualifying tournament of the season, the Hurley sisters advanced through the pools and qualification rounds on Sunday to compete in the second day of competition.

Kelley finished 47th after an overtime loss to Mingfan Yin (CHN), 9-8.

Courtney also had a close first bout that ended in an overtime loss to eventual gold medalist Bianca Del Carretto (ITA), 6-5, and went on to finish 51st.
