USA Fencing

As many of you know, the 2013 National Championships and July North American Cup broke attendance records in Columbus. To accommodate this growth, as well as the addition of the Division I event to the July NAC, two additional days were added to this competition for 2014. 

While we are excited about the growth our sport has undergone in recent years, finalizing a location that could accommodate the added dates on less than a year’s notice was a challenge.

Fortunately, Columbus stepped in to provide a location for the 12 days of competition as well as setup and teardown, but it also meant adjusting our traditional dates to fit into the open venue/hotel window.

We are aware that some schools will still be in session at the beginning of the competition and this will strongly be considered as the day schedule is developed as well as the existing scheduling criteria that govern the creation of the 90-event day schedule for this tournament. It is our goal to have the day schedule posted on the USA Fencing website by the end of 2013, to further assist members as they make their travel plans for Columbus in 2014.
