Title: Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

Hometown: Atlanta, Ga.

Pronouns: he/him

About me: I joined USA Fencing in May 2022 as the Senior Manager for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. In this role, I lead USA Fencing's DEIB initiatives and work closely with the DEIB committee to ensure the organization promotes a safe environment for everyone to enjoy the sport of fencing.

I have a wealth of experience as a diversity, equity and inclusion researcher and practitioner. I've served as a trusted DEI consultant for sports organizations like the Atlanta Hawks, State Farm Arena and the NCAA — helping these groups develop, enhance and sustain DEI their initiatives and programming. I have also worked in higher education (at the University of Georgia and Morehouse College), managing federally funded grants that support the development of diversity pipelines for underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering and math.

In addition, I worked in experiential marketing across different sectors of the sport and entertainment industry.

I'm a proud alum of the University of Georgia — Goooo Daawwgss! While there, I was a member of the men’s track & field team. I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia pursuing a degree in sport management & policy. And in my free time, I enjoy running and spending time with family. I also coach an AAU track & field team.
