The 2026 Junior Olympics will be hosted in Kansas City, MO this year. This event will feature Epee, Foil, and Saber fencers who are eligible to compete in Junior, Cadet, and Junior Team categories. For more information on eligibility please reference our Athlete Handbook. This event will be hosted in the Kansas City Convention Center and is free to the public. USA Fencing is excited to introduce a new optional service at the 2026 Junior Olympic Championships: the Junior Olympics VIP Highlight Reel Package, created in partnership with filmmaker Jessie B. Johnson.
Athletes can now book a professional, cinematic highlight reel capturing their full day of competition — including pools, every DE bout, and the podium ceremony. Each video is up to three minutes and delivered vertically for easy sharing (horizontal available upon request).

How to Register
Registration is handled through College Connect, USA Fencing’s one-stop platform built to guide high school fencers from the local strip to an NCAA program. Creating or activating your profile only takes a few minutes and keeps you visible to college coaches year-round.

Please allow us up to 4-5 business days for us to respond. We will honor the withdrawal from the date the form was submitted or when the email was sent.
50% Event Fee Refund Withdrawal Deadline: December 19th, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time
Withdrawals via email will still be monitored, but we recommend using the new withdrawal form above. Email: withdrawals@usafencing.org.
If a fencer plans to not compete in their registered event, they should withdraw from the event using our Withdrawal form.
Should a fencer fail to appear for any event without sending an email by 5 PM local time of the day before, the fencer will be subject to a fine of $250 per event that the individual fails to appear for AND suspension of membership privileges, including participation in all USA Fencing sanctioned tournaments, until the applicable fine(s) is/are paid.

In certain cases, a member of USA Fencing in good standing may be permitted to qualify for National Championships by petition. Petitions must be completed before December 12th, 2025, and require a $100 non-refundable fee to be reviewed. If a fencer’s petition is denied, their event fee (and only their event fee) will be returned to them in full. Submit a petition HERE.

Fencers and their families can apply for a competition fee waiver (tournament, admin, & event fee) for nationally sanctioned events.
