February NAC 2026 Day 3 Recap: Nineteen Events, One Day

Cincinnati, Ohio -  Day three of fencing had more gold medals with nineteen events giving gold medals to competitors.


Division I Men’s Epee featured over three hundred participants, but Gabriel Feinberg (Olympia Fencing Center & The Ohio State University) found his way to the top of the podium. His key to success? Nutrition.


“[The] big change I made today is, I started taking nutrition a little bit a little bit more seriously. I was eating a lot of dark chocolate throughout the day, fruit, just kind of experimenting in the weeks leading up to this with you know, what was the best thing to eat in between bouts, to keep me satiated, but also, you know, feeling light. So I think I hit a good balance for that today.”



The veteran community continued to show support to each other. Ronald Thornton (Capital Fencing Academy) praised his fellow veteran fencers.


“Even when we are done fencing, we are such a great group of friends. We get to go out afterwards and head to a restaurant, head to the bar and and then we talk about seeing each other at the next event that we're going to be going to. So it's a great group.”


The praise came at a great time as the night concluded with the 2026 Veteran Awards dinner where fencers from each age category were honored.
