NEW YORK, N.Y. – The U.S. Fencing Foundation is pleased to recognize two Gold Sponsors of its inaugural fundraising gala, "The Fencing Foundation Fête”: Robert Zagunis OLY, trustee and president of the Foundation, and Radical Fencing, outfitter of several Olympic fencers and innovator in fencing gear. The event will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the prestigious Yale Club in New York City.

Zagunis, a 1976 Olympian in rowing and a Life member of both USA Fencing and USRowing, is a well-known philanthropist, community leader and sports enthusiast. He currently serves as the managing member of Keturi LLC — a private investment entity, and is a trustee and president of the Japanese Garden Society of Portland.

“I am proud to support the U.S. Fencing Foundation gala,” Zagunis says. “I look forward to celebrating this sport’s rich history — as well as its bright future — in such an iconic location in New York City.”

Radical Fencing develops revolutionary patent-pending products with advanced materials for fencers. The Fencing Foundation Fête is aimed at celebrating the rich history of fencing in New York City, the tri-state area and far beyond. The event will feature a live auction and appeal, as well as a special award ceremony. The award will recognize an individual in the fencing community for their philanthropic contribution, active involvement and engagement of the sport, and admirable character which each fencer aspires to achieve.

The U.S. Fencing Foundation encourages anyone from Olympic and Paralympic fencing fans, to parents, to athletes themselves to join Robert Zagunis and Radical Fencing in supporting this noble cause.
