September 6 Paralympics Preview: Women’s and Men's Individual Epee Event

PARIS, France — As the team enters back into individual competition on Friday, September 6, here is who you should look out for.
On the women’s side, Jataya Taylor and Victoria Isaacson will be competing in Category A, and teammate Ellen Geddes will be competing in Category B.
For the men, Garrett Schoonover and Noah Hanssen will be representing Team USA in both Category A and Category B, respectively.
Taylor, Isaacson, Schoonover, and Hanssen Look to improve during the epee individual competition after the individual foil and individual saber days. Geddes looks to improve on her 2020 Tokyo results after earning 11th place.
The individual competition will give an insight as to how the team competition will shape up for the following day.
When and How to Watch #
The tournament format starts with the Round of 32 beginning at 3:00 a.m. ET (9:00 a.m. Paris time).
As the tournament progresses, competition continues uninterrupted through the quarterfinals. Then there’s a two-hour break so the morning/afternoon session ticket holders can leave and make way for the evening session attendees.
The evening session begins at 6:10 a.m. ET (3:10 p.m. Paris) with the semifinals, bronze medal bouts and gold medal bouts, followed immediately by the victory ceremonies for each category.
